Chapter 6 response question

After reading all the technologies i decide that i would rather teach in a classroom with less technologies.  Although after reading about the several technologies i determined that they could be very helpful, but they all seem to have two problems, they are hard to use and very expensive.  I myself am not too technological savvy and it would be hard to learn how to use all the technologies.  Although i believe i can it would be hard to teach all my students how to use them too.  Involving the students is very important and valuable class time would be wasted teaching kids how to use technologies rather than teaching them the subject.  Technologies are also very expensive and i think schools could use that money on other stuff like extracurricular activities that many schools are having to cut due to failed levies.  Also with too many new technologies can cause a teacher to become dependent upon them.  Many times technologies fail to work and in then the teacher is left with no lessen for the day.  Although there are tremendous benefits. the downside is too much for me to prefer alot of technologies.
